The Festival
The Dançarão Festival is organized by the Dançarém Association, based in Santarém. The first edition was held in 2022 in Valada (Cartaxo) and the other annual editions were held in Ortiga (Mação), where we hope it will remain for many years.
Activities
The program of this festival of traditional dances from Portugal and around the world includes workshops on traditional dances and social dances, dances with live music from national and international folk bands, dances with folk DJs and even musical improvisation, walks, yoga sessions, craft workshops and children's activities.
Community Festival
This is a community, intergenerational and inclusive festival, made by and for everyone, whose activities take place on the river beach, in the EDP neighborhood of Barragem de Belver and in other spaces in the town of Ortiga.
